About Us

Thank you for your interest in Mountain One Helicopters (M1). Since its founding in 2002, M1 has provided advanced Mountain Based Training in the Colorado Rockies. Our goal is simple - to provide the best high-altitude helicopter flight training possible. This is achieved by what we believe are three essential ingredients - our experience, our high-altitude flight environments and our diverse helicopter fleet. M1 also provides Scenic Tours of Colorado's amazing landscapes.

Experience
Our flight Training Programs are designed to give pilots the ability to handle the most rigorous mountain based flights, emergency situations, and complex airspace requirements. At the completion of our advanced programs, a M1 pilot will be comfortable landing at Denver International Airport, flying a passenger to a remote cabin in the mountains over some of the highest mountain passes in the world, pick up a load of timber with a 100 foot long line out of tight mountain valley, and return to home base without incident. This type of flying demands a level of flight experience, decision-making skills and knowledge that few schools can or are willing to teach. For us, this is what flight training should be.

Locations
Mountain one Helicopters operates in two Denver Locations, Erie and Centennial, and also maintains a mountain campus near Telluride, Colorado. These three bases provide incredible diversity in training environments, including access to the Colorado Rockies for unmatched high altitude training. Each of our three locations is above 5,000 MSL where all flight time is logged as high-altitude. Colorado's fascinating geography offers endless variety in off-airport training sites; this remote and richly featured terrain is where helicopters are designed to operate.

Helicopter Fleet
Our diverse Fleet of four different helicopter types, the Schweizer 300C, turbo-charged Enstrom 280FX, Robinson R44 Raven II, and the turbine-powered Enstrom 480B allow students to hone skills in a variety of helicopters. This, in our opinion, creates a pilot with higher skill level, knowledge, and experience. It also allows M1 students to bring a higher level of experience to the job market and to be highly attractive to potential employers.

Perhaps one of the most important aspects of M1 is our company culture. We treat everyone we work with in a fair, friendly and professional manner. Simply put, we treat others as we wish to be treated. We have included answers to many common questions on the FAQ page, and provided cost estimates for our various helicopter Training Programs. Once again we appreciate your interest in Mountain One Helicopters, please feel free to Contact us at anytime with questions, ideas, or comments.
