Jack Ferguson - Owner & Chief Pilot

Our fun loving chief pilot and owner started M1 in 2003 after doing his initial training on Australia's east coast with Becker Helicopters. Jack has over 4,000 flight hours in a variety of models, flying a wide range of mission types including instruction, corporate, aerial photography and film, international delivery, and patrol work. He is a Enstrom Helicopter factory pilot, supporting the company with delivery and pilot training worldwide. Jack also writes for Pilotmag, with a primary focus on the helicopter industry and instruction. Jack has a Bachelors Degree in business from Colorado State University.

Jon Fredericks - VP of Business Development

With a diverse background starting and managing several businesses in Colorado, Jon is responsible for the general business operations for Mountain One. His primary focus areas involve student support services, client relations, training program development, scheduling, and quality control for the company. As a Private-rated helicopter pilot, Jon brings his enthusiam of flying to the team and students of M1. When he's not working or flying, he can be found skiing or hiking near his remote cabin in Colorado's Elk Mountains. Jon has a Bachelors Degree from Utah State University.

Jon specializes in advanced flight and ground training for our students, including turbine transitions, mountain courses, and Enstrom-specific training. He also provides ferry flight support services for our national and international helicopter clients. An integral part of our team, Jon has been flying with M1 since 2007 and has logged over 1600 hours of helicopter time, mostly at high-altitude. He is also a commercial glider pilot, and has long-term career aspirations in the fire supression, utility and heli-skiing industries. Jon is a graduate of Colorado College.

Alex Viola - Flight Instructor

Alex specializes in initial flight training and ground instruction for our Private and Commercial students, in both the Schweizer 300C and Enstrom 280FX models. Also a fixed-wing and instrument rated pilot flying since 2007, Alex loves to share his passion and dedication for flying with his enthusiastic students. He spends his spare time skiing and fishing in the Rocky Mountains, and is currently working on his CFI-I certification. Alex's career aspirations inlcude helicopter utility long-line work and EMS flying.
